BD Vacutainer Plus Plastic Serum Blood Collection Tubes provide an advanced solution for serum determinations in chemistry ensuring efficiency and safety. The spray-coated silica that acts as a clot activator allows processing blood samples also for routing tests, such as blood donor screening, immunohematology, and diagnostic testing of serum for infectious disease. The Tubes are made of plastic for enhances safety and ease of disposal that complies with EPA guidelines. These Serum Tubes come in a variety of sizes, as well as two closure options.

Hemogard Closure Option
A unique Hemogard™ closure features a recessed inner design and a shield covered with plastic, allowing to avoid contact with blood that gets on the stopper or outer rim of the tube. For even greater use convenience, the Hemogard™ closure ensures smooth operation that eliminates blood splattering while opening the tube.

The serum tubes have red stopper/closure, paper sticker which is used for identification and labeling, and a clot activator & silicone coating on the interior part that promotes blood clotting mechanism.
