New-Age Technology
A highly durable weighting platform with extended load capacity of 660 lbs/ 300 kg is made of an easy-to-clean, very robust safety glass. A low-profile design helps patients mount the Scale safely and conveniently. The highly precise weight measurements are obtained with the help of four load cells integrated into the Scale platform. A built-in handrail exerts a dual function. On one hand it provides additional support to frail patients, on the other it serves as a part of the 8-point bioimpedance measurement system. This system consists of one par of foot electrodes and three pairs of hand electrodes. The hand electors are located on each side of the handrail on different heights so that different patients, 1.6 m to 2 m tall, each can take a comfortable position on a Scale. This way the 514 Analyzer provides the measurements of weight, MBI, total body water (TBW), extracellular water ECW), fat-free mass (FFM) and skeletal muscle mass (SMM) for arms, legs, torso and whole body in just 17 seconds. To top up all the mentioned benefits of the 514 Analyzer, this unit is so simple in operation that it does not require hours of training before use. All it takes to master the navigation is turn on the device and start measurements with the help of a self explanatory, intuitive interface.

Each measured body composition parameter can be reviewed in details on a large touch-screen display in a form of a truly comprehensive and clear graphical report. Further on, the Analyzer provides a one-page summary report. This summery is intended to lay out the numerous readings into one very easy to read and assess report. Such powerful BC Analyzer requires a truly powerful data management tool which is the Seca analytics 115 PC software. For one it allows saving every single routine measurement for quick and precise monitoring of the patient’s progress during the course of therapy. It enables data transfer to the EMR in CSV, GDT, HL7, or XML file formats creating a seamless, paperless workflow. In addition, being connected to a PC, the mBCA can receive patient data directly, eliminating the need of manual entry.

Adaptable & Wireless
PC software is not the only adaptation tool provided with the 514 mBCA. This Analyzer is equipped with Seca 360° wireless, USB 2.0 and Ethernet interfaces that provide three options for the flowing data transmission and more.
