It can easily detect results which indicate the rate of sterility of an autoclave, can effectively be used to monitor both gravity and pre/post vacuum sterilizer, and has 3 incubation slots which can accommodate 3 indicators at the same temperature, even at different incubation times. This device has a USB connector with free software download, and it can also provide print-outs of results for recording.

Reliable Indicator: The Starter Kit also comes with 50pcs/1 box of the Tuttnauer Steam Ultra-Rapid 20 Minute Biological Indicator, which are single-use Self-Contained Biological Indicators (SCBIs) specially designed to test steam sterilization processes. Each indicator is composed of a polypropylene tube, glass ampoule with a culture medium, a population of Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC 7953 spores inoculated on a spore carrier, and a plastic colored cap with holes and a barrier for steam. It also has a chemical process indicator on the label which changes from pink to brown once exposed to steam.
