Immunochemical fecal occult blood tests are now part of the new standard of care for colorectal cancer screening. Hemoccult ICT has major advantages over traditional guaiac fecal occult blood tests.

The tests high specificity for lower GI bleeding makes it ideal for detecting colorectal cancer. It is human hemoglobin specific, which reduces the number of false positive test results. The test is safe and patient friendly. It does not require dietary or medication restrictions and includes comprehensive patient educational support.
