BD PAXgene™ Blood RNA Tube provides a highly efficient solution for clinical molecular diagnostic testing. Intended for immediate stabilization of intracellular RNA, the Tube is proven to be a highly effective tool for accurate and reproducible gene expression data. The Tube contains a proprietary reagent allowing for stabilization of intracellular RNA immediately upon collection. The stabilization process can be facilitated at room temperature within 3 days period or at 2-8°C during five days. Moreover, PAXgene™ Plastic Tube can be used for long-term sample storage when frozen at temperatures of -20°C to -70°C. The Tube measures 16 x 100mm, with 2.5mL volume. It features color-coded Hemogard™ closure and a paper label.

Hemogard™ Closure
A unique Hemogard™ closure features a recessed inner design and a shield covered with plastic, allowing to avoid contact with blood that gets on the stopper or outer rim of the tube. For even greater use convenience, the Hemogard™ closure ensures smooth operation that eliminates blood splattering while opening the tube.
