The Covidien Purstring™ Stapler Device eliminates costly maintenance and the probability of cross-contamination. Utilizing this stapler device helps ensure a secure and even-purse-string suture yet opens & closes just like other conventional stainless steel clamps.

There are multiple uses for Covidien Purstring™ Stapler Device such as in colorectal, esophageal and intestinal surgery to put temporary purse-string closure. It creates a 2-0 circumferential strand non-absorbable monofilament nylon surgical suture. The said instrument is only activated after squeezing the ring handles.
