The Covidien Surgitie™ Ligating Loopabsorbable sterile surgical sutures that consists of purified connective tissue that’s mostly collagen and derived from bovine or serosal layer of beef intestines.

Covidien Surgitie™ Ligating Loop is available in two options, Chromic Gut and Plain Gut. Both of which are meant to be used in general soft tissue ligation and/or approximation which include the use in ophthalmic surgery but not in neurological or cardiovascular surgery.
