Turkel™ Paracentesis Safety Needle

This needle comes with a blunt, multi-side holed, spring-loaded inner cannula that extends beyond needle bevel and protects underlying organs from inadvertent penetration. As we've mentioned, it comes with a color change indicator, located in the needle hub. This presentation provides direct visualization of the position of the blunt cannula as the needle moves through the abdominal wall and into the peritoneal space.

Paracentesis Catheter

This product is made from a polyurethane, radiopaque catheter material that provides strength, softness, flexibility, and resistance to thrombosis. Multiple side holes in the distal catheter shaft increase the surface area for drainage. Additional depth marks on catheter shaft provide assessment of catheter location during any procedure, and a Tuohy-Borst adapter provides a way to reinsert the safety needle for multiple insertion capability.
