Advanced design, great Kit compatibility, and unique formulation provide an all-in-one solution for efficient laboratory workflow and the acquisition of precise test results.

Efficient Design. The BD Universal Viral Transport Kit, 50 per Pack includes a flat-bottom conical tube with a bench-top that provides a safe and stable tube placement, eliminating the risks of the tube contents spilling. Convenient scored swabs simplify the specimen collection procedure as they do not require the use of scissors. The Kits with 3 mL vials feature capture-caps that allow removing the swabs with no need of forceps and therefore preventing cross-contamination.

Advanced Formulation. With advanced formulation, the Universa Viral Kit provides a truly universal solution as it sustains viability in the temperature ranging from room temperature to refrigerated not only for viruses but also for chlamydiae, mycoplasmas, and ureaplasmas. In addition, it incorporates antibiotics into the medium, preventing from bacterial and fungal contamination. Constituent phenol red pH indicator helps identify formulation integrity at the time of specimen collection. The Kits are compatible for the use with BD Flocked Nylon Swabs and BD Directigen EZ Flu A+B and BD Directigen EZ RSV test kits.
