Medical Scrubs

Worn by everyone from surgeons to custodians, medical scrubs are an essential (and often required) product for modern health facilities. While the iconic blue or green outfit may seem simple and straightforward, there are a few things to consider when purchasing medical scrubs for you and/or your staff.

Many of the scrubs offered are made with SMS fabric - SMS stands for "Spunbond + Meltblown + Spunbond Nonwovens", which basically translates to a layer of meltblown nonwovens inside two layers of spunbond. Depending on the treatment of the fabric, coats using SMS fabric can protect the wearer during procedures that have the potential for light fluid contact. Other scrubs use spunbonded polypropylene for similar degrees of protection. 

Medical scrubs come in a variety of sizes,from Small to XX-Large, to accomodate the wide range of individuals working in the health service field. Many scrub pants feature a drawstring waist for easy and efficient fitting. Scrub shirts tend to include pockets for convenient carrying or storage of supplies that might need to be more accessible than they would be in a pants pocket.
