Rubella Blood Tests

Rubella Blood Tests are designed to detect antibodies that are made by the immune system that fights against and kill the rubella virus. The Rubella virus (German Measles) is a usually mild illness that causes rashes, sore throat, and swollen glands. It usually occurs in young children but can affect anyone. The Rubella Test is usually done for a woman who is or wants to be pregnant to determine risk for rubella.
