The Amerex 758 250 lbs Wheeled High-Performance Z-Series Purple K Fire Extinguisher (Class B:C) uses Purple K, a potassium bicarbonate agent, to suppress Class B (flammable gas/liquid) and C (electrical equipment) fires fast. The wheeled trolley with easy-rolling 36” steel wheels allows one person to transport the extinguisher to the fire scene. Z-Series extinguishers are recommended for chemical-or-corrosive-intensive work sites or sites with higher fire risks such as oil and gas platforms, mining sites, coastal and marine environments, and oil refineries. The Amerex 758 is available in standard steel wheels or steel wheels with non-sparking rubber treads.

The Amerex Z-Series wheeled extinguishers have a 350-psi operating pressure that gives them above-average range and flow rate, both of which enable faster knockdown of fires, even three-dimensional ones. Z-Series models are also ideal for extinguishing escape points of flammable liquids under pressure using combined agent attacks (foam or water). The Amerex 758, particularly, has a range of 60-80 feet and a flow rate of 6.6 lbs/sec. It has a UL rating of 160B:C, which means it can suppress 160 square feet of Class B fires.

The large pressure gauge is easy to read, and the 50-feet long hose is field repairable with Mil-spec brass couplings.
