The Covidien AbsorbaTack™ 30 Fixation Device is a state-of-the-art and well-built medical instrument designed for laparoscopic hernia repair. It is made to provide patient comfort and to ensure surgeon confidence which guarantees overall peace of mind.

Reliable Strength. Designed with a longer tack length (4.1 mm) and width (5.1 mm), the AbsorbaTack™ 30 Fixation Device provides a strong temporary mesh fixation with a 1 week and 2-month retention strength. Its reliable tack deployment with ratcheted mechanism provides tactile feedback when firing and requires no sharp piloting needles. Because of this, it reduces the likelihood of inadvertent needle sticks in the Operating Room.

Ensured Patient Safety and Comfort. With its easy-to-use design, the AbsorbaTack™ 30 Fixation Device supports a minimally invasive approach through a 5 mm shaft. It requires no metal for fixation and leaves no foreign material behind over time. Interim clinical study results show patients with 54% reduced pain from the preoperative baseline at 1 month follow up. The Fixation Device's violet tack features a black-dot visualization for optimized visibility.
