It is powered by 12 AA batteries (not included) or optional AC Adapter. The Apex Digital Clinical Scale has multiple communication ports for EMR/EHR connectivity and data output to Welch Allyn devices. The Apex features two RS232 serial ports, USB, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity (available on some models); while, the Icon offers a USB port and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity (available on some models).
