The Invacare APM Mattress Replacement System is an alternating pressure mattress that aids in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. This economical system does not compromise on quality and is reliable with low maintenance. The alternating pressure provides comfort and relief. The pressure reduction helps prevent and treat Stage I to Stage IV ulcers and promotes capillary circulation.

The APM Alternating Pressure Mattress Replacement Systemfeatures a 10 LPM compressor and has a mode button featuring Alternating Pressure, Static, and Max Firm. The Alternating Pressure mode works with a 10 minute time cycle. Max Firm mode is used for patient transfers, and Static mode redistributes the pressure evenly across all cells within the mattress. In order to maintain the appropriate pressure to prevent capillary occlusion, a control unit constantly monitors the pressure.

The compressor of the APM Alternating Pressure Mattress Replacement System has a solenoid valve system for easy set-up and effective therapy cycles. There are icons on the control panel to help caregivers with the operation of the mattress. Visual and audible alarms are included, as well as a silence option. In the event of a power outage, the mattress will remain inflated as long as air hoses are connected to the compressor. The mattress has specially designed connectors which prevent accidental dislodging when in use.

The mattress features a quilted cover and 600 Denier nylon bottom which are anti-microbial, fluid resistant, vapor permeable and guard against friction. The mattress measures 80" L x 36" W x 8" H and has a weight capacity of 350 lbs. It comes with a Compressor and Power Cord. The Compressor weighs 5 lbs. The compressor and mattress are covered with a 1 year warranty.
