The BD Autoshield™ Duo Safety Insulin Pen Needle is designed with a dual-protection system that reduce the risk of contamination during procedure. This product is built to fit all insulin pen needles which reduces pen needle inventory. It also features a lock with colored indicator that includes a visual, tactile, and audible confirmation with the shield built to be retractable during injection, all to emphasize safety and protection.

The 5mm needle allows for more comfort and reduced risk of intramuscular insuin delivery compared to longer needles. However, the short needle also provides glycemic control equivalent to longer longer ones. The large barrel housing, the thin wall technology with optimal flow rate, and the tapered and transparent base of the pen needle allow for a precise, comfortable, and all-in-all easy injection.
