Huntleigh Diagnostic's Sonicaid Baby Dopplex® external fetal monitor (sold separately) is a full-featured device intended for reliable, easy monitoring of fetal heart rates and maternal uterine contractions during pregnancy and childbirth. It uses two transducers to transmit data to the monitor: an ultrasound transducer for fetal heart rate monitoring, and a TOCO transducer for uterine contraction monitoring.

Both transducers are replaceable when necessary; it is recommended to have an extra or backup transducer in case of emergency.
