The Covidien BIS™ Brain Monitoring Sensor is a device designed to interface with any BIS ready patient monitoring systems.

Awesome Design. Designed with non-invasive sensors, the Brain Monitoring Sensors features the Zipprep™ technology which enhances conductivity and reduces preparation time by clearing away the first layer of skin. The BIS™ Brain Monitoring Sensor collects low-frequency electroencephalograph (EEG) data which is interpreted and translated into the BIS index which may improve clinical outcomes.

Various Choices For Unique Needs. With a few selection of sensors for virtually every scenario, the Brain Monitoring Sensors have a choice between Bilateral, Extended, Pediatric, and Quatro. The Bilateral Sensors enables detection of hemispheric differences in the brain which may be useful for advanced symmetry monitoring applications while the Extended Sensors monitor adult patients for long periods of time, like those in the ICU. The Pediatric Sensors are for smaller patients while the Quatro Sensors are for adult patients going under general anesthesia or sedation.
