Surgical Specialties™ Chromic Gut Absorbable Sutures with Precision Reverse Cutting Needles, 3/8 Circle are sterile, smooth, high quality sutures commonly used in general closure, OB/Gyn, urology, and bowel anastomosis. Surgical Specialties™ sutures are subjected to the highest quality standards to ensure high-level of performance. It is trusted by surgery professionals worldwide.

Treated with chromic salt solution, these Chromic Gut sutures are characterized by consistent needle strength, durability, extremely high tensile strength, and uniform diameter for smooth and secure knotting. Non-reflective finish makes it easy to recognize even in bright surgical lights. Each strand is precision-polished and made from the finest quality raw material. These sutures are equivalent to Ethicon™ Plain/Chromic and LOOK™ Chromic Gut. Absorption profile is dependable and predictable.

Chromic Gut Sutures are available in various sizes. Sizes 0 & 2 are used for closure of the fascia layer in abdominal surgery, or for knee, hip and back surgery. Sizes 3-0 and 4-0 are used for closure of muscle layers or bowel repair. Size 5-0 is for larger vessel repair. These sutures feature taper point needles, which feature a round shaft, taper point with no cutting edge. Ideal for soft tissue closure such as fascia, vascular, gastrointestinal, and most soft tissue below the skin. Available in 12 per box.
