The Welch Allyn Connex Integrated Diagnostic Wall System is a set of medical devices combined together to help healthcare professionals in providing fast and efficient diagnostic examinations in a clinic or hospital set-up. Designed to easily access high-quality physical exam tools, this advanced wall system produces a more organized and reliable health facility, improving patient care.

Convenient and easy to navigate, the Connex Integrated Wall System offers effective clinical monitoring, may it be spot check or timed intervals, which can be done for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Capturing vital signs is made easy with the help of high-quality medical tools, such as oral and/or ear thermometer, pulse oximeter, and BP measuring device. Improved eye and ear assessments can also be done with the help of the Welch Allyn LED Ophthalmoscope and Otoscope.

The Connex Diagnostic Wall System can be connected to the EMR through wireless connection, ethernet, or USB (Wall System comes with 4 USB ports), and instantly sends vitals to the patient chart from the point of care for improved efficiency. It has an Early Warning Scoring app, which allows upload of protocols such as MEWS, NEWS, and PEWS, that helps in giving signs for patient deterioration, and aids in an accurate and efficient clinical decision.

CONNEX TOUCHSCREEN MONITOR

Easily view and read diagnostic results on the Connex Integrated Wall System with its large, high-quality, colored touchscreen monitor. The wide monitor displays the systolic and diastolic measurements, MAP, average calculations, SpO2 readings, and other vital sign results needed. A quick viewing of necessary patient data can help in a more efficient and accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, which can increase productivity in the healthcare facility.

3.5v LITHIUM-ION POWER HANDLES

The Connex Diagnostic System has two 3.5v instrument Power Handles, both are compatible with Welch Allyn Ophthalmoscope and Otoscope heads. These are attached on the Wall System via modular coiled cords, and each handle comes with a rheostat, allowing quick adjustments of the light intensity of the instrument, maximizing the potential of the Welch Allyn medical devices. The healthcare professional can easily access the needed instrument for an efficient physical diagnostic assessment.

KLEENSPEC EAR SPECULA DISPENSER

The KleenSpec Ear Specula Dispenser holds 524 series Ear Specula, which is compatible with the Welch Allyn MacroView LED Otoscopes. The dispenser attaches to the wall system, allowing an accessible reach of the Otoscope tips whenever needed during ear examinations.

SUREBP NIBP MEASURING DEVICE W/ CUFF & CORD STORAGE

With the SureBP technology incorporated within the Connex Diagnostic System, the healthcare professional can easily measure a patient's blood pressure in as fast as 15 seconds. This enhanced blood pressure monitoring system promotes patient comfort, meets the clinical standards for accurate measuring ( 5.0% / 3 bpm), and has efficient result averaging to effectively diagnose possible hypo- and hypertension in patients. This Connex Wall System comes with a standard cuff & cord storage to promote a more organized workspace.

SURETEMP PLUS THERMOMETER

Providing reliable and accurate reading, the built-in Suretemp Plus Thermometer aids in capturing patient temperature efficiently - approximately 4-6 seconds (oral), 10-13 seconds (rectal or pediatric axillary), and 12-15 seconds (adult axillary). It has interchangeable probes and probe wells, and comes with disposable probe covers which significantly prevents cross-contamination.

MEDICAL DEVICES CONFIGURATION

SPO2 & PULSE RATE MEASURING DEVICE

The Oximeter continuously measures functional oxygen saturation as well as pulse rate. This feature offers a continuous pulse rate reading compared to a one time pulse rate reading the standard BP option provides. You can choose between two brands of SpO2 sensors: Masimo and Covidien/Nellcor. Although Covidien/Nellcor and Masimo offer similar specifications and cost, Masimo has been proven to have excellent capabilities in providing readings where there is unstable patient finger movement.

PANOPTIC LED OPHTHALMOSCOPE

The Welch Allyn PanOptic LED Ophthalmoscope helps in the proper viewing of the inner part of a patients eye, also known as fundus, and its surrounding structures. It has long-lasting LED lamps for efficient illumination, has Durashock Technology for enhanced durability, and can provide a 20x larger viewing area than a typical Ophthalmoscope. Available in Standard option with standard features, or Plus version that has an additional Quick Eye Alignment Technology feature, helpful in achieving a better patient optic disc alignment during eye exams.

MACROVIEW LED OTOSCOPE

The Macroview LED Otoscope comes with a long-lasting ColorSure LED illumination, has a field of view that is three times larger than a single-lens otoscope, and five times magnification feature that aids in a clearer visual of the ear canal and eardrum during ear exams. This device has a focus-free design, with an extended focal length, ensuring a clear and sharp image for a better ear examination. It can also be used for Pneumatic Otoscopy procedure, assessing the mobility and flexibility of the tympanic membrane through air pressure, since it has a closed system and an airtight seal. You can choose between a Standard LED Otoscope, or the Plus LED Otoscope compatible with the iExaminer feature.

BRAUN THERMOSCAN PRO 6000 EAR THERMOMETER

The Braun ThermoScan Pro 6000 thermometer accurately measures temperature through the patients ear and transfers the measurements to the monitor. Measurements can be determined in as fast as 3 seconds, and may be viewed in Celsius and Fahrenheit.
