The Covidien Electrosurgical Pencil with Stainless Steel Hex-Locking Blade Electrode is a cautery device used in general electrosurgery procedures and is available in different configurations.

Safe Tools of the Trade Covidien's electrosurgical pencil comes with the rocker or button switch with both models providing sufficient tactile sensitivity for a more secure grip. In addition, surgeons can hear and feel the button engage, thus preventing the electrosurgical pencil's accidental activation. In addition, these cautery pencils have a 10 ft cord for better mobility and are also available with the accessory holster.
