The BD Female Endocervical Specimen Collection Kit with ProbeTec TransportTube, 100/pk is designed for the safe collection and transportation of patient endocervical specimens for laboratory testing. Each kit includes a sterile polyester fiber-tipped cleaning swab with a white shaft which is used to remove excess blood or mucus in the cervical os before collecting specimens. Specimens are collected using the included polyurethane foam-tipped collection swab with a pink shaft. The collected specimens are then placed inside the Qx Swab Diluent tube.

The collected specimens are tested using the BD Viper System in extracted mode. Endocervical specimens are to be used with the BD ProbeTec CT/GC Qx Amplified DNA Assays.
