Their fetal spiral electrode (sold separately) is used in internal fetal heart rate monitoring with reduced risk of maternal trauma. The electrode requires a cable for proper use with all fetal monitors and attaches with a self-adhesive grounding electrode. The cable is available in several configurations for compatibility with major manufacturers' models:
