The HemoCue Hemoccult ICT Fecal Occult Blood Test Controls are used with the Hemoccult ICT Test Kit (Product #395067-). The controls are used to verify the performance and functionality of the test.

The Hemoccult ICT is an innovative fecal occult blood test that is the most clinically proven with high sensitivity and specificity. Hemoccult ICT is an immunochemical fecal occult blood test that can detect bleeding associated with cancers and polyps.

Immunochemical fecal occult blood tests are now part of the new standard of care for colorectal cancer screening. Hemoccult ICT has major advantages over traditional guaiac fecal occult blood tests.

The tests high specificity for lower GI bleeding makes it ideal for detecting colorectal cancer. It is human hemoglobin specific, which reduces the number of false positive test results.
