The Manual Handheld ABI System w/ ABI Exam by Newman Medical is a PC-based system that was built to perform lower extremity arterial exams for the quick diagnosis of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). This simple and easy to use ABI system efficiently provides accurate full page reports needed for reimbursement.

Single-Level Exam for PAD Diagnosis: The system automatically calculates ABI (Ankle-Brachial Index) which aids in the detection of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The diagnosis is made using the 'Gold Standard' 8MHz dual ankle Doppler and simple Pulse Volume Recording (PVR) waveforms.

Efficient & Simple Software System: With a simple Point & Click reporting right on the computer, the Newman Medical Manual ABI system allows the user to have the diagnostic report either printed in any standard printer or saved in PDF or TIFF formats and ready to be attached to EMR Patient records. The integrated system software allows the user to create customized reports with practice information and logo, and automatically inputs each exam with time stamps for a more efficient filing.

The Manual ABI System comes with a 2-Year Warranty for its parts, and all its included accessories. Each product in the package has undergone inspections and tests, assuring each of their quality and durability.

Product Options

The Newman Medical Manual Handheld ABI System w/ ABI Exam comes in two product options that differ on the tests the system can administer, and the number of cuffs included in the package. Please choose your preference on the options menu above.

Manual Handheld ABI System w/ ABI Exam (ABI-250): comes with 1pc. 10cm & 1 pc. 12cm EZ-Clean Reusable Vascular Cuffs. It only administers the standard ABI exam with the help of the 8MHz Doppler and PVR hardware.

Manual Handheld ABI System w/ ABI & TBI Exam (ABI-300): If the ABI cannot be obtained due to calcified vessels, usually caused by diabetes, TBI or Toe-Brachial Exam is additionally done with the help of the Digital Audio PPG Vascular Probe (Additional Probe for ABI-300), which can be used on toes. This can obtain pulses in the digits that can assist in the diagnosis of PAD. ABI-300 comes with 6 cuffs: 2 pcs. 10cm & 2 pcs. 12cm EZ-Clean Reusable Vascular Cuffs, & 2 pcs. of 2.5cm Vasocuff Disposable DIgit Cuffs.
