The BD Microtainer Contact-Activated Lancet has great features that simplify the capillary blood sampling procedure making it ideal for patient care. The lancet activates in one-step, only when pressed to the skin minimizing the chance of activation before contact. With contact activation, a more consistent puncture depth for easier sampling is possible.

The lancet features an ergonomic design that is comfortable to work with. A special grip increases confidence while using the product making it easy to hold and preventing slippage. The lancet covers only a small area at contact point. This improves visibility of the puncture site and provides greater accuracy of the lancet for positioning. It automatically retracts into the device which lessens the possibility of injury and cannot be reused preventing contamination.
