The BD P100 Blood Collection System is designed for better preservation and recovery of human plasma proteins by immediately mixing the blood with proprietary protease inhibitors. This inhibitor, along with the K2EDTA anticoagulant spray-coated on the tubes, protects the plasma proteins from proteolytic degradation and modification after blood collection. The P100 Blood Collection Tube also includes a mechanical separator for better separation of cellular components from plasma than gel-based separators.
