Welch-Allyn is Simply the Best

After returning two of these to their Indian vendors for lack of the Throat Illuminator, this is the real thing. The difference is that with the illuminator the otoscope head screws off and leaves the illuminated bulb in a plastic holder so you can use it as a penlight. The one without also allows the otoscope head to be removed, but the bulb is inserted into a spring holder in the head, not in the handle. You can switch the little plastic bulb holder to other handles, but you must have the proper head to accommodate it. Tiger's was the genuine article, factory seals intact, and for the same cost, AND from the US (not like the aforementioned foreign Amazon vendors with broken seals and return postage to India). Great product, great vendor. And a LOT less hassle than McKesson or Amazon.
