Sharpoint PLUS Polypropylene Non-Absorbable Sutures with Reverse Cutting Needles, 3/8 Circle, are synthetic, inert, monofilament sutures used primarily in General & Skin Closure, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Microsurgery, Cardiovascular Surgery.

Sharpoint Polypropylene Sutures consistently meet the demands of surgery professionals worldwide. Packaged in dry or in wetting solution, these sutures easily pass through tissue and are easy to handle. Polypropylene Sutures are equivalent to Ethicon Prolene and Syneture Surgipro/ Surgipro II. It is the most versatile of all monofilament sutures, and is characterized by superior smoothness, better knot security and a unique extruding technique, which ensures a uniform, round cross section.

Polypropylene Sutures are available as dyed (blue) or undyed, in various sizes. Size 2 is for closure of the fascia layer in abdominal surgery, or for knee, hip and back surgery. Sizes 3-0 and 4-0 are used for closure of muscle layers or bowel repair. Sizes 4-0 and 5-0 are for larger vessel repair. Size 6-0 is used in vascular graft sewing. These sutures feature Reverse Cutting needles, which feature a triangular point with cutting edge on the outer curvature. Excellent for skin closure, ligamentous or fibrous tissues. Available in 12 per box.
