The Sharpoint™ Polypropylene Taper Point Suture, 1/2 Circle - 12 per Box is a sterile and non-absorbable surgical device made to hold body tissues and/or wounds together after an injury or surgery throughout the healing process.

Awesome Design. Made of Polypropylene, the Sharpoint™ Polypropylene Suture is a versatile monofilament (single strand) suture that is inert, smooth, easy to handle and knot securely. With superior tensile strength to other true monofilaments, the sutures have a unique extruding technique which ensures a uniformly round cross section and a strand that can be passed easily through tissue with better knot security and fewer throws. The Sutures are blue in color and are single-armed (has a needle on one end).

Patient Safety. Because of its construction, it resists involvement in infection and removes/minimizes later sinus formation & suture extrusion. Since it isn't absorbable by the body, the suture is not subjected to weakening by the action of tissue enzymes which dissolves other sutures too early in the healing process. It has a size 0 which is a great choice for closure of fascia and to drain stitches.
