• ADA Compliant in All Base Versions: The MTI 550 meets the 17"-19" ADA entry height requirement across all three configurations: Standard, 333° Swivel, and Mobile Rear Steer. The optional ambidextrous Transfer Support rotates 180° for safe, code-compliant patient transfers from either side.
• SmartTech & ComfortSync: SmartTech combines Smart Controller and Smart Safety technology for smoother movement, Soft Start/Stop motion, and a Collision Avoidance System that automatically prevents unsafe chair positions. ComfortSync adds a 7" powered footrest extension that follows the natural arc of the patient's leg, accommodating taller patients without manual adjustment.
• Full Motor Control with 4 Programmable Positions: Low-voltage DC motors power all functions (lift, back, tilt, foot, and foot extension) 30% faster and quieter than standard motors. Four programmable buttons plus a programmable Home button eliminate setup time between patients. Foot control has a sealed membrane for easy disinfection; optional hand control available.
• Base Options - Standard, Swivel & Mobile Rear Steer: The Standard Base rises to 39"; the 333° Swivel Base with Safe Swivel Auto-Lock and the Mobile Rear Steer Base (3 Total Lock Casters + 1 Steering Caster) both rise to 37". All three bases are ADA compliant at an 18.75" entry height.
• Infection Control & Easy Turnover: Upholstery removes and reinstalls without tools for fast replacement. The all-steel frame, slide-back floating arms, and optional debris tray minimize contamination pathways. All pivot joints are maintenance-free, no lubrication ever required.
