The Surgical Specialties Sharpoint™ Precision Conventional Cutting Plain Gut Sutures, 12 per Box are sterile and absorbable surgical devices made to hold body tissues together after an injury or surgery.

Awesome Design. Composed of first quality raw Catgut material, the Sharpoint™ Plain Gut Suture ensures a dependable absorption and high tensile strength. The suture is single-armed (has a needle on one side) and has a non-reflective finish that allows it to be easily identified under bright surgical lights. It has a size of 6-0 which is an optimal choice for general soft tissue approximation, small vessel repair or grafting & fine suturing on the hand/nailbed and face. Each strand is precision polished to a consistent diameter which allows smooth and secure knotting.

Hasten Healing. Because of its absorbability, the Sharpoint™ Plain Gut Sutures can be dissolved and taken in by the patient's body over a period of time to promote healing of the wound. Its absorption rate varies from the site of placement. The sutures require a needle with a Precision Conventional Cutting Point Type and a curvature fraction of 3/8 Circle.
