The unique Q-Syte™ Split-Septum design successfully addresses such critical issues as catheter related blood stream infections and better performance characteristics. The Septum features a smooth tip surface that allows for easer and more through cleaning, while simple, unobstructed internal design eliminates favorable places for bacterial growth. In addition, the simple fluid path provides higher flow rates and a lower priming volume. A clear Septum housing allows for better fluid flow control via simple visual assessment. The luer access promotes versatility and extends the unit flexibility to the use of ISO-compatible luer slip or luer lok connection.
