The QuickVue Influenza A+B Test provides test results from both influenza type A and type B from one test procedure. A nasal swab, nasal wash, nasopharyngeal swab, or a nasal aspirate can be used to obtain a specimen.

The test provides two color results making interpreting simple. A pictorial procedure guide is included to simplify the testing process. Results are available in ten minutes allowing for immediate diagnosis and treatment. The nasal swab sample is 94% sensitive, 90% specific to Influenza type A.

The kit is conveniently packaged with all the necessary components to perform the test. It includes individually packaged test strips (25), reagent solution (25), reagent tubes (25), disposable pipettes (25), sterile nasal swabs (25), positive influenza Type A control swab (1), positive influenza Type B control swab (1), negative control swab (1), package insert (1) and procedure card (1). The test kit can be stored at room temperature.
