The Surgical Specialties Sharpoint™ Precision Reverse Cutting Single Armed Plain Gut Suture, 3/8 Circle - 12 per Box is a sterile and absorbable surgical device designed to hold body tissue together after an injury or surgery.

Great Construction. Being made of first quality raw Catgut, the Sharpoint™ Precision Reverse Cutting Single Armed Plain Gut Suture guarantees a reliable absorption and high tensile strength. The Suture has a non-reflective finish that allows it to easily be identified under bright surgical lights. Each strand is precision polished to a consistent diameter which allows smooth and secure knotting.

Various Uses. It is single-armed (has a needle on one side) and, depending on the users choice, a size of 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0 and 6-0. A size of 2-0 and 3-0 is a great choice for closing thick skin, fascia, muscle and tendon repair while a size 4-0 and 5-0 is great for larger vessel repair and skin closure for tendon repair. The Size 6-0 is an optimal choice for general soft tissue approximation, small vessel repair or grafting & fine suturing on the hand/nailbed and face.

Wound Regeneration. With its absorbable materials, the Sutures can be dissolved (with various absorption rate dependent from a site of placement) and taken in by the patient's body over a period of time to promote healing of the wound. A needle with a Precision Reverse Cutting Point Type and a curvature fraction of 3/8 Circle.
