It features butterfly needles and includes an IV Catheter, wings, PRN and Needle Shield. Awesome Design. Combining needle-stick safety with a closed system, the Saf-T-Intima™ Closed IV Catheter System aims to provide patients with a virtually bloodless procedure, optimal comfortability and ensured safety. This system features telescoping shields that protect clinicians from needle-stick injuries. The PRN Adapter is removable and allows for use of an ISO-Complian Needleless Connector.
