Awesome Design. With its non-capillary silk construction, the Surgical Specialties™ Silk Precision Reverse Cutting Single Armed Sutures has a high tensile strength with a uniform smooth surface that allows easy passage through the tissue. It is black braided, single-armed (has a needle on one side) and has great handling & tying characteristics. The Suture has a non-reflective finish that makes the needle easier to distinguish especially under bright surgical lights and guarantees consistent needle strength & durability.

Full Healing. Because of it being non-absorbable by the body, the Silk Sutures are not subjected to the slow deterioration caused by the tissue enzymes which can dissolve other sutures too early in the recovery process. The Sutures also resists the development of infection and decreases later sinus formation & suture extrusion. The included needle has a curvature fraction of 3/8C and features a Precision Reverse Cutting Point Type.

Various Uses. The user can choose from a wide selection of suture sizes. Sizes 0 & 1 are great choices for closing fascia and drain stitches, Sizes 2-0 & 3-0 are used for closure of thick skin, fascia, muscle and tendon repair, Sizes 4-0 & 5-0 are chosen for large vessel repair and skin closure tendon repair while Sizes 6-0 & 7-0 are optimal choices for small vessel repair/grafting and fine suturing on the hand/nailbed & face.
