The BD Standardbore IV Extension Set is a latex-free and DEHP-free medical supply designed to provide much-needed flexibility and additional infusion capabilities to IV Infusion Instrument Sets. It is available in several configurations that differ in features and length.

Designed for Safety: The BD Standardbore IV Extension Set is available with optional SmartSite needle-free valves that prevent needlestick injuries and bloodborne infections in both patients and clinicians. It also has a smooth, swabable surface that is easy to disinfect.

This IV extension has clear, transparent connector housing for better flushing visibility and the solid sealed surface helps prevent contamination. It is also equipped with an anti-reflux mechanism for reduced catheter occlusions.

Versatile: The BD Standardbore IV Extension Set is available in monofuse, bifuse, and trifuse designs, allowing you to choose one that best fits your IV setup.

With 0.2 Micron Filter

This IV extension set is also available with 02. micron filter which removes particulates larger than 0.2 microns and virtually all fungi and bacteria. This is often used as the final filter for air elimination in the NICU. It is recommended for use with non-lipid TPN infusions and is required when using Taxol infusions. Please be aware that Supor (Polyethersulfone) membranes, which have poor protein and drug binding properties, are present in CareFusion 0.2 micron filters.
