The 3M Transpore Surgical Tape uses hypoallergenic material for more effective and faster wound care. Its perforated plastic and transparent tape delivers ultra-strong adhesion ensuring that it won’t fall off after few hours of use.

The beauty of this product is that it can be torn easily into thin strips and offering bidirectional tear making it simpler to use even when the healthcare practitioner is wearing gloves. The transparent surface of the tape allows monitoring of the skin condition it is applied on. With its breathable and porous design, it helps upholding skin integrity.

Definitely superior.

We use this tape for a non-traditional purpose. However, it has the highest permeability of any tape we have tested and the adhesive is far superior with good adhesion to plastic (polypropylene), fabric, and skin. We use the medium tenacity adhesive and it is more than adequate for our application. We tested 15 other brands and samples, but this specific tape is at least twice as good as the next-best candidate for air permeability and adhesion. I usually do not like working with 3M, but in this case, their product is superior.
