Since it is easy to use, it can provide comfort to the patient during administration of insulin. A layer of silicone lubrication is added, which helps in the smooth gliding of the permanently attached needle into the skin. Each syringe has bold markings and large barrel flanges for accurate dosing of the medicine, and easy grip and control during injection. It is 100% sterile and is latex-free. In choosing a syringe, You must choose the size which can hold the largest dose you take in a day. If your largest dose in close to the syringe's maximum capacity, it is best to choose a larger size to handle any dose adjusments. Product Options. The UltiMed UltiCare U-100 Insulin Syringe (100/box) has different types that vary in their syringe capacity, and gauge & size of their needle. Please choose your preference on thedrop-down menu above. For the syringe capacity, the 3/10cc syringe is graduated in 1-unit increments and is best for doses under 30 units because of their small size and easy 1 unit adjustment. the 1/2cc is also graduated in 1-unit increments and is used for doses between 30 units and 50 units.
