BD Vacutainer® Trace Element Plastic Blood Collection Tubes provide a dependable and convenient solution that helps facilitate blood testing procedures for trace-element, toxicology, and nutritional-chemistry determinations. Tube centrifugation or inversions facilitate the reaction of the whole blood with either clot activator or anticoagulant. The Silicone Coated Plus Plastic Tubes provide serum sample while K2EDTA Coated Tubes provide plasma sample. K2EDTA Tubes with 10.8 mg liquid solution can be used to obtain a whole blood or EDTA plasma sample. The Tubes feature 13 x 100 mm in size and 6 mL draw volume.

Hemogard™ Closure Option
Vacutainer® Trace Element Tubes feature a unique Hemogard™ closure that has a recessed inner design and a shield covered with plastic, allowing to avoid contact with blood that gets on the stopper or outer rim of the tube. For even greater use convenience, the Hemogard™ closure ensures smooth operation that eliminates blood splattering while opening the tube.
