The Xeroform impregnated dressing is intended to be used when a mild medication or deodorizing is required, like for postoperative care. The dressing provides a moist environment, contributing to healthy wound healing.

The dressing is made from conformable, fine, soft gauze impregnated with white petrolatum and 3% bismuth tribromophenate. It can be used for postoperative care, 1st and 2^nd degree burns, and skin grafts. Removal of the gauze causes fewer traumas to the patient and wound since it is non-adherent.
