This zipper-front disposable coverall from Dupont has been designed in a specialised material, Tychem®, and meets the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines set by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) when managing patients with infectious diseases. Impermeable: Tychem® garments are created from Tyvek® - a flash-spun, high density polyethylene which gives a unique, non-woven fabric. Tyvek® provides an intrinsically strong barrier against particles small as 1.0 micrometres in size. Tychem® garments use another polyethylene to coat the garment for added chemical protection. Durable: In crafting these chemical protection suits Dupont has ensured that the permeability of Tychem® has undergone rigourous testing by a third party laboratory to guarantee safety for the wearer. It offers protection against 42 different chemical challenges for at least 30 minutes. Bound Seam: Bound seams seal raw edges of fabric between another strip of Tychem®. This provides extra strength and durability and reduces particle shedding. It also provides extra protection against fluid penetration; this is crucial in the care of ebola patients. High visibility: This coverall is available in yellow for maximum visibility during emergency patient care. Easy to wear: The coverall has either open wrists and ankles to allow for easy doffing of protective gloves and boot covers, or elasticated wrists and ankles for a better fit and increased protection from infection. It features a storm flap which can be sealed over the zipper for enhanced protection. This suit is available in all sizes, including DuPont Tychem® Coverall XL.
