Sofia FIA System The Sofia system is a fluorescent immunoassay that qualitatively detects SARS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 antigens, normally concentrated in the upper respiratory tract. The areas are sampled through nasal and nasopharyngeal swabs, which are then immersed in a reagent before being applied to the test cassette for analyzer processing. Additionally, the automated result readouts are ready in 15 minutes for quicker patient-care options.

Ready-to-use Kit The Sofia testers come with various supplementary materials, including reagents, swabs, pipettes, and controls for basic nasal swab sampling. Other material prerequisites not included are listed in the product documentation.
