The Quidel Solana Complete Strep Molecular Assay Kit, 48 Tests per Kit is a rapid medical test designed for the reliable and quick detection of Group A β-hemolytic Streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes), and pyogenic Group C/G (streptococcus dysgalactiae) nucleic acids found in throat swab specimens obtained from patients with symptoms of pharyngitis.

State-of-the-Art. Designed to work well on the Solana Instrument, the Quidel Solana Complete Strep Molecular Assay Kit allows for the fast and reliable diagnosis of Group A and pyogenic Group C/G Strep. It utilizes Helicase-Dependent Amplification (HDA) Technology which permits the rapid method of nucleic acid amplification without the need for a thermal cycler. The Lyophilized Master Mix Reagent has an easy-to-use format for sample rehydration. This Assay Kit has a 98.8% Clinical Sensitivity of Streptococcus pyogenes and 100% Clinical Sensitivity of Streptococcus dysgalactiae. It also has a Clinical Specificity of 98.9% for Streptococcus pyogenes and 99.5% for Streptococcus dysgalactiae. Results are approximately given in 35 minutes and can be displayed on the Solana Instrument Touchscreen.
