The Quidel Solana GAS Molecular Assay Kit is a rapid in vitro diagnostic medical test designed for the qualitative detection of Group A β-hemolytic Streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes) nucleic acids. This test delivers laboratory-grade accuracy in an actionable timeframe —  without requiring culture backup.

ACCURATE AND FAST MOLECULAR DETECTION

ADVANCED HDA TECHNOLOGY: Uses Helicase-Dependent Amplification (HDA) to amplify the DNase B (sdaB) gene sequence with fluorescent probe-based detection. This rapid method of isothermal nucleic acid amplification eliminates the need for thermocycling, ensuring faster, more efficient results.

STREAMLINED SAMPLE PROCESSING: Throat swab specimens are heat-lysed, diluted, and added to reaction tubes, producing clear diagnostic results in approximately 35 minutes.

NO CULTURE BACKUP REQUIRED: Delivers gold-standard molecular sensitivity (98.2%) and specificity (97.2%), providing accurate Group A Strep results without the need for traditional culture confirmation.
