The Quidel Solana GAS Molecular Assay Kit, 48 Tests per Kit is a rapid in vitro diagnostic medical test designed for the qualitative and reliable detection of Group A β-hemolytic Streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes) nucleic acids.

Accurate and Fast Results. Utilizing the Helicase-Dependent Amplification (HDA) Technology, the Solana GAS Molecular Assay Kit augments the DNase B (sdaB) sequence and fluorescent probe-based diagnosis when performed with the Solana Instrument. The throat swab specimens obtained from patients with symptoms of acute pharyngitis are lysed by heat treatment, diluted and added to a reaction tube for correct results in approximately 35 minutes. These results are displayed on the touchscreen of the Solana Instrument and can also be printed, saved and sent to the LIS to be exported through one of its six USB ports.

The Quidel Solana GAS Molecular Assay Kit has a clinical sensitivity of 98.2% and specificity of 97.2% comes with 48 Tests per Kit and contains the following:
