The Baseline Taylor Percussion Hammer with Tuning Fork is used to stimulate nerve responses during general examinations, typically to test deep tendon reflexes and detect potential abnormalities in the nervous systems.

The percussion hammer handle is designed to allow the healthcare provider to easily move the hammer in an arc-like motion to make contact with the nerve. The tuning fork is used to test the patient’s hearing, nerve sensory, and proprioceptive input. The tuning forks are available with 128 or 256 cycles per second (CPS) frequencies.
