The Edan X series Patient Monitor is a high quality device that helps healthcare professionals in measuring, recording, and displaying various biometric values that are essential in patient monitoring. With its ultra-slim design, and its capability to monitor different parameters, the X series is a great choice for patient monitoring in different hospital setups, including emergency rooms, wards, cardiac intensive care units, and even in pediatric wards, since it covers all patient types, from neonatal to adult monitoring.
Innovative Design & Function: The X Series Patient Monitor has a high resolution touch screen, a thin and sleek design, and intuitive shortcut menu that can enhance your working efficiency. It has a fanless design and its battery can last up to 8 hours of working time. The monitor has a built-in carry handle and cable receiving design, which makes it portable with or without a cart.
Large Storage Capacity: The X series Monitor has an 8GB internal memory and is wifi-ready, for easier reviewing and transferring of data to an EMR. It can store up to 240 hours of trend graph and table review, 200 sets of alarm, arrhythmia, and NIBP review, and 48 hours of full disclosure waveform review. The monitor also has external ports for USB data storage and review.
Optional 6/12-Lead ECG Internal Module Kit: The X Series monitor can be enhanced into a 6/12-Lead ECG system with an internal module which can be purchased separately (EDA12LeadX). This is usually used in emergency cases wherein a quick ECG placement is needed without all leads, the monitor will only pick up ECG leads placed. This internal module must be included at the time of purchase since this will be factory installed.
Optional G2 CO2 Internal Module Kit: The user has the option to enhance the X series Monitor with the Edan G2 CO2 technology. This module uses an exquisite water trap and an innovative algorithm iCARB, which eliminates both moisture and pseudo waves, that presents an accurate and immediate reading on a minimal sampling rate. This internal module must be included at the time of purchase since this will be factory installed.

The monitor itself works as it should. It's the user interface, wi-fi, and lack of printing that is super frustrating. We bought this so we could print to an external HP printer, as it states this is an option. We are able to print live trend tables, but it doesn't have the option to print from patient history? Edan customer support was less than helpful, informing me that I would need to buy the attached thermal printer to be able to print from patient histories.
It also only has about a 10' WiFi range, and constantly disconnects, even when within a few feet of the access point. Restarting the monitor allows it to reconnect.
I am very hesitant to spend more money to buy the CMS Lite software, as if it is anything like the monitor, it will be outdated and very unfriendly to use.
