The Quidel Sofia 2 Rapid Test Analyzer is an easy-to-use small benchtop analyzer designed to quickly and accurately measure different chemicals and properties found in patient biological samples.

State of the Art Technology. With an Ultraviolet LED Energy Source, the Sofia 2 Rapid Test Analyzer uses advanced fluorescence detection to collect hundreds of data points on a test strip found inside of a Sofia FIA Test Cassette. It uses proprietary algorithms to analyze the data, interprets the signals and properly determines the results automatically to provide the patient with an objective and correct result. The analyzer can store up to 1000 patient tests results, 200 QC results and 2000 calibration results. These can also be exported to a USB Flash Drive using the Sofia 2 port on the back. Each 1 GB of external USB memory can hold up to approximately 4000 test results. The Sofia 2 has a 4-inch color LCD touchscreen and an RJ45 Connector.

User-Friendly. Designed with a hassle-free and understandable interface, the Sofia 2 Rapid Test Analyzer offers customizable settings, flexible workflow, barcode technology and Virena® wireless connectivity. It allows the operator to quickly run patient samples and eliminates discrepancies between operator to operator. Results of the samples are displayed on-screen, can be printed to an external printer and/or sent to Virena easily. The Sofia 2 features two modes, WALK AWAY and READ NOW, which can be chosen depending on the required workflow. The WALK AWAY Mode is best used for reading a single patient sample. This mode uses Advance Result Technology (ART) which provides results as quick as 3 minutes, is dispensed into the Test Cassette and placed immediately in Sofia 2. It is then, automatically developed, periodically scanned and displays test results. The READ NOW Mode is ideally used for reading multiple patient samples. This mode dispenses the patient sample into the Test Cassettes where the user manually times the development period outside of Sofia 2. Once the development time is completed, the test cassette is placed in Sofia 2 where it is immediately scanned and displays the results within one (1) minute.

The Quidel Sofia 2 Rapid Test Analyzer comes with a LiPO Rechargeable Battery and One Year Warranty.
